Great questions will yield much greater results than weak, problem-fixated questions. For example, asking yourself “Why I’m a still single?” or “Why am I such a failure?”, etc. are terrible questions to put to yourself. They don’t arouse new possibilities and solutions but instead serve only to damn you, stir up resistance and dwell on the problem.

Questions direct your attention— and along with it, how you think and how you feel. If you want to create different thoughts, feelings, and results into your life, then ask different questions. 

Here is a list of some great questions to ask yourself

Great questions will yield great insights, give you direction and help you stay focused.

• What now is impossible but if I could do it, it would transform my business/life?

Note: No matter who you are and what you are trying to do, if the thought of it doesn’t scare the hell out of you I seriously doubt it’s worth doing!

• What Don’t I See?

Note: Asking yourself this question before signing off on any business deal/relationship or investment could save you a lot of problems and money!

• What have I been putting off doing that I can start today?

Note: Asking yourself this question is a great way of dealing with unfinished business and loose ends in your life.

• What is the BEST use of my time right now?

Note: Delegate everything that someone else can do and only do the things you are outstanding at.

• What MUST I Change?

Note: For things to change, YOU must change. What habits must you change?

• What things could I do LESS of in order to achieve MORE?

Note: People are obsessed with being busy. But being busy is actually a form of laziness – lazy thinking and haphazard action!

• What NEEDS TO Be Done?

Note: George Bernard Shaw once said “Doing what needs to be done may not make you happy, but it will make you great”

• What are the things that are most special in your life...and don’t cost you any money?

Note: We often take for granted the things that cost no money but bring us the most joy.

• What’s so great about that?

Note: If you have an idea, a product, a service, a solution then asking this question gets to the heart of the matter.

• What can we do right now to create more value?

Note: In business and life, rather than complain about lack of sales, or a bad relationship, asking this powerful question produces great suggestions that once implemented pay dividend in your life.

• .What would love do now?

Note: In times of fear, worry, conflict etc, asking yourself this question will give you an insight to the most righteous action to take.

The following 3 Questions are great to ask yourself when faced with a problem.

Quit asking why questions and begin asking what questions, such as:

• What’s the lesson here?

Note: Every bad experience is life’s way of teaching us some valuable lesson. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to take a note of the lesson and learn from it.

• What’s great about having this problem?

Note: I know it sounds weird but why not try being grateful for the problems you are experiencing. They are taking you out of your comfort zone and helping you progress you life…even though it may not seem so at the time.

• What’s my next action?

Note: This is my all time favourite question to ask myself when a so-called problem appears. What’s great about this question is that you don’t allow yourself time to dwell on the problem. Instead you’re compelled to focus on the solution and take action.

• What is the one thing if done this week will make the biggest difference to my business and/or life?

Note: Sometimes you week can lack focus with emails coming in, phone ringing etc. I find having just 1 really big goal for each week helps prioritise what’s important.
