The basic premise of a vision board is to have pictures and images of things you want, homes, places, people etc., pasted onto a board or scrapbook. These images serve to create visual reminders of who you’re becoming and what you want to manifest in your life as well as evoke strong positive feelings about these desires.
The creation process used is critical to visualisation success. You really want to celebrate and evoke feelings of joy as you chose images and create your vision board. Doing so in a relaxed, joyous state helps imprint these images (and their associated feelings) onto your unconscious mind. The conscious mind can only hold one thought at a time. So, by filling your unconscious mind with what you want, this spills over into your conscious mind so that your mind begins to focus only on what you want.
The vision board itself doesn’t manifest reality; what it does is the process of selecting and creating images and affirmations – combinations of objects and events that will lodge in your subconscious mind and steer your choices and alter your behaviour towards making your vision a reality.
